Kiley Ingram

Community Christian College is honored to congratulate Kiley Ingram on being drafted by Women's Pro Baseball League San Francisco. We had the opportunity to ask Kiley some questions about her baseball career so far.
How long have you been playing baseball? I've been playing baseball since I was three and a half years old. What were some goals you set for yourself in baseball?. Some of my biggest goals were:
        •       To earn a spot on a college baseball roster and compete at the next level.
        •       To prove that girls can play baseball.
        •       To earn respect through my work ethic, not my gender.
        •       To represent Team USA one day in international competition.
        •       And ultimately, to play professional baseball.
How did you feel getting drafted in the Inaugural WPBL Draft? Honestly, it still doesn't feel real some days. Hearing my name called in the Inaugural WPBL Draft—and knowing I would be joining the San Francisco franchise—was overwhelming in the best way. It wasn't just excitement; it was validation. It was years of pushing through doubt, being the only girl on so many teams, and refusing to quit. It felt like a moment not just for me, but for every girl who has ever been told she doesn't belong in baseball. I felt grateful, proud, and extremely motivated to prove that I earned that selection. What are you looking forward to most in joining the WPBL? I'm most looking forward to competing at the highest level of women's baseball and learning from the incredible talent in the league. Being surrounded by players who have represented Team USA, played internationally, and broken barriers inspires me to keep elevating my game. I'm excited to grow as an athlete, represent my college well, and be part of something bigger than myself—the first women's professional baseball league in the United States. I can't wait to meet my teammates, wear that San Francisco jersey, and take the field for Opening Day in August 2026. Is there anything you'd like to add about your baseball experience, and is there anyone you'd like to acknowledge? Baseball has shaped who I am—past, present, and who I hope to become. Growing up as the only girl on almost every team taught me resilience, patience, and confidence. Playing with boys helped me develop physically and mentally in ways that prepared me for the collegiate and professional level. Joining all-girls and women's teams gave me community and showed me that the sport truly has room for everyone.
I want to acknowledge the people who have been with me through every stage of my journey.
        •       My parents, who never treated baseball like a "boys' sport" and supported every dream I had—even when the world told me it wasn't possible.
        •       My coaches over the years, who believed in my ability, pushed me, corrected me, and treated me like any other ballplayer.
        •       My teammates, both boys and girls, who challenged me, respected me, and helped me grow.
        •       Christian Community College, for giving me the opportunity to play at the collegiate level and for believing in me as a baseball player first.
        •       And of course, the WPBL, for opening doors for women in baseball and giving players like me a platform to compete professionally.

"My staff and I are extremely proud of Kiley and excited for the opportunity that she has in front of her.  Kiley has shown to be a quality teammate, coachable player, as well as a student of the game with the propensity to improve and compete.  Under the tutelage of Coach Henry Barrera (Kansas City Royals 5th round pick, 2004), she has the perfect mentor to help get her ready for the next steps.  We have only had the chance to work with Kiley here this fall but we look forward to helping her grow and develop and be ready to take that with her to the WPBL in the future." Head Coach Marcos Bugarin.
